Rudy Pereira is a veteran of the credit union industry and joined Royal Credit Union in December 2011 as its president/CEO. Pereira previously served as senior vice president of operations and payment processing technology at Alliant Credit Union in Chicago, Illinois, and prior to that served as senior vice president and CIO at Kinecta Federal Credit Union in California. Prior to his career in financial services, he worked at Hughes Aircraft and Hewlett-Packard.

Pereira is an active industry executive and serves on the Wisconsin Credit Union League Governmental Affairs Committee and previously served on CUNA’s Governmental Affairs Committee. He is former Chair of the CUNA Council Forum, the Technology Council, and the CUNA/BITS Financial Services Liaison Task Force. He is also a frequent conference speaker and writer for the credit union industry.

Pereira is active in the community serving on the University of Wisconsin Eau Claire Foundation, Inc., Board of Directors; Eau Claire Confluence, Inc., Board of Directors; and on the Western Regional Mayo Clinic Board. He is also a past member of the Sacred Heart Hospital Advisory Council.

Pereira received his Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from California State University, Northridge; Master of Business Administration at Norwich University; and he has a Black Belt in Six Sigma from Motorola University.
