Centric Bank
In March 2007, Patricia Husic led a team of shareholders to acquire and establish Centric Bank and Centric Financial Corporation, where she now serves as President and Chief Executive Officer. Prior to taking the leadership role at Centric Bank, Ms. Husic joined Vartan National Bank, serving as Executive Vice President, Chief Financial and Chief Operating Officer. She was appointed President and CEO in July 2005, distinguishing her as the first woman in Harrisburg to hold that title at a financial institution.
As President and CEO of Centric Bank, Ms. Husic is charged with carrying out the strategic direction of the bank and meeting its financial goals as established by the Board of Directors, where she serves as a member. Under her foresight, Centric Bank is now a leader in organic loan growth has been twice named among the Best Places to Work in Pennsylvania, and is a four-time award winner of the 50 Fastest Growing Companies in central Pennsylvania. Recognizing an unmet need in the healthcare community, Ms. Husic founded Doctor Centric Bank, a concierge private banking service for medical providers, the healthcare industry, and their families.
Ms. Husic was Chair of the Pennsylvania Bankers Association 2013-2014. She was a member of the Board of Directors at the Pennsylvania Bankers Association from 2011 through 2015 and was the visionary, founder and implemented the Women in banking program as the third female chair in the Association’s 121 year history. She is the Chair of the Women in banking initiative.
Ms. Husic was also a member of the American Bankers Association Community Bankers Council where she served with fellow CEO’s across the United States to advocate for community banks. She currently serves on the ABA’s Communication Council.
In 2015, Ms. Husic elevated to the “25 Most Powerful Women in Banking” in Banking and Finance in the United States. In 2011 and 2013, she was recognized as one of the “25 Women to Watch”. Ms. Husic has been an invited speaker for The Mentor Factor NYC, a national conference presented by American Banker to advance women in leadership positions. An Athena award winner, YWCA’s Women of Excellence recipient, Business Diversity Champion, and most recently, Women of Influence award recipient by the CPBJ. She was also honored to receive the Pennsylvania’s Best 50 Women in Business, awarded by Gov. Edward G. Rendell and the Department of Community & Economic Development. Husic’s professional memberships include the PICPA, Pennsylvania Bankers Association, American Bankers Association and the Independent Community Bankers Association.
Currently, Patti is a Director for the Holy Spirit Hospital Board of Directors. Over the past 10-15 years, her volunteer and community involvement included: Member of the Board of Directors for the American Heart Association, Capital Region, the Whitaker Center for the Arts and Sciences and the Capital Region Economic Development Corporation; Chaired the “Light the Night Walk” for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Association; Member of the Blue-Gold Gala Committee, Bishop McDevitt High School; a member of the Big 33 Scholarship Golf Committee; and was a judge for the Pennsylvania’s Best 50 Women in Business.
Before rising to leadership at Centric Bank, Patti was a member of the executive management team at Pennsylvania State Bank, where she successfully directed the accounting, finance and technology functions for 14 years. Prior to her distinguished career in banking, she worked for a restaurants funding firm specialized in auditing financial institutions as well as government and non-profit entities.
Ms. Husic is a graduate of Temple University where she earned her B.B.A. in Accounting and Management Information Systems. She is also a Certified Public Accountant in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
